Course Description
Introduction / knowledge of maintenance and installation of Rack & Pinion products with controllers.
Comprising of the following three courses:
Core Principles for Maintenance and Installation of Construction R&P Lifts (4 Days in Classroom)
Upon completing this course, the delegate will be:
- Aware of relevant local Regulations, Standards and guidance relating to materials and passenger/goods hoists and transport platforms(TP)
- Aware of hazards relating to maintenance and installation activities
- Capable of understanding method statements and hoist drawings, including stand-off measurements from structures, landing measurements and tie configurations and distances
- Aware of, and able to use the correct emergency procedures
- Capable of extracting and following information from the Maintenance and Installation Manuals
- Capable of completing preventative maintenance on a hoist/TP
- Capable of completing required documentation for maintenance
- Capable of erecting mast, installing limit plates/cams, installing mast ties, installing “V-pipe”, installing landing gates
- Capable of programming landings on the ALC
- Capable of completing zero calibration on the OSD
- Capable of completing a “drop-test”
Alimak Lift Control (ALC2) - Basic - E-Learn
The Alimak Lift Control, ALC-II is Alimak’s modular controller. The objective of this course is to provide participants with the basic understanding of the control system function. This interactive course has been produced online for convenience. Participants learn at their own pace and obtain certificate immediately upon successful completion.
Overload Sensing Device (OSD) - E-Learn
The purpose of the course is to introduce you to Alimak Overload Sensing Device (OSD).
By the end of the course you will learn:
- about the features in the OSD
- about the system menu about the functions of the digital inputs
- how to check system parameters
- how to change system parameters
- how to perform zero calibration
- how to perform load calibration
- how to perform system test in failsafe mode
- about most common troubleshoot scenarios.
Course Duration: 4 days in the classroom + 2 e-learns
Course Cost based on 6 Delegates (Can be adjusted depending on the number of e-learn courses required)
